Medical Receptionist

Envision Medical Imaging is a premium service provider in medical imaging which specialises in cardiac, chest, dental, oncology and musculoskeletal imaging as well as offering a full complement of general services.  We are looking for a full-time person to join our Reception team.

A receptionist is a very important role at Envision. We are seeking someone who will provide a welcoming, professional and courteous service to patients and visitors. This customer facing role is instrumental in the efficient running of our clinic so it is essential that you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be motivated, have a friendly enthusiastic approach and have the ability to multitask and think on your feet. Previous experience in a medical field is essential and experience in a radiological practice will be preferred.

The role will include:

  • Meet and greet of patients and handling patient enquiries
  • Scheduling patient appointments and advising them of preparation
  • Working successfully in a team environment to ensure that front office runs smoothly
  • Patient billing including Medicare
  • Liaising with referrers

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Experience in a healthcare environment
  • A can do attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team
  • Empathy and strong customer service approach
  • Excellent and open communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer literacy – experience in Comrad desirable
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work with others, or on your own, as required.

Hours are Monday to Friday, with a rostered start between 7.30 and 9.30am.  Very occasional evenings and Saturday mornings may be required.  We expect to receive quite a number of applications for this role, so please ensure you meet the requirements listed and include examples in your covering letter.

Dental Assistant – IT

Envision Medical Imaging is a premium comprehensive radiology practice which includes specialist dental, oral and maxillofacial diagnostic imaging, lead by Clinical Professor Bernard Koong.

We are looking for a permanent, full-time (76 hours per fortnight) person to join our growing team.  You must have experience as a dental assistant/nurse with a strong interest in IT.  A key element of this role is to provide comprehensive support to our maxillofacial radiologists. It includes post acquisition image reformatting, PACs support and doctor liaison.  You must be an open communicator, a team player, open to instruction, honest, eager to learn and have a keen interest in radiology.

The role will include the following. Training will be provided:

  • Post acquisition image reformatting
  • Envision Online (PACS) support
  • Providing help-desk support to referrers, including Envision Online
  • Working with the Envision team to ensure quality service delivery for both referrers and patients
  • Being the go-to person for relevant IT queries
  • Liaising with referrers

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Experience as a dental nurse
  • A thorough knowledge of dental anatomy
  • Interest and ability to learn and expand your skill sets
  • A can-do attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team
  • Ability to stay on task and work independently
  • Excellent and open communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail

Usual hours are Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm but may occasionally be altered by agreement.
